St Moritz

Overview

Resort with a very “Glitzy” reputation and deservedly so the town has plenty of fashionable and expensive shops. The town itself is not particularly pretty and divided into two parts St Moritz Dorf and St Moritz Bad. The skiing is is mainly suitable for all levels of intermediate skier and the resort is pretty good for beginners. Expert piste skiers will not find a huge number of tough blacks, although off piste with a guide the area offers a lot more.

Positive

  • Excellent apres ski
  • Non skiers well catered for
  • Excellent intermediate terrain

Negative

  • Can be expensive
  • Badly linked areas

Offslope/apres ski

Non skiers will have a huge number of options from the Cresta run to polo and golf matches on the frozen lake. A real après ski resort with a myriad of different venues from the eye wateringly expensive to really quite reasonable bars and clubs.
