Val di Fassa Ski Holiday Resort
Overview
The Val di Fassa is prime skiers' territory. One of the four valleys leading directly from the Sella Ronda circuit, ski opportunities abound, both across the Dolomiti Superski area and throughout the valley itself. A lively mix of Italian and local Ladino culture, there's a great atmosphere both on and off the piste.
Val di Fassa is made up of 7 resorts, the most well known being Canazei, Campitello and Pozza di Fassa, and is a vast network of connected slopes. These small villages surround the Sella Ronda and all have easy access to this huge ski area.
The pink rugged peaks of the Sella Massif, declared a UNESCO world heritage site, create a large variety of red runs, making the Dolomites perfect for intermediate skiers. Beginners will feel more than comfortable skiing here too, with many low-gradient, confidence-building runs and nursery slopes.
Another big attraction of this area is the value for money it offers; the difference in prices for a night out and lunch on the mountain is huge when you compare resorts in this region to some of the large French and Austrian resorts.
Offslope/apres ski
Plenty of unpretentious bars where the atmosphere is relaxed and cheerful.
Activities in resort include a bowling alley, indoor ice skating, parapenting and snowshoe walking.
