Hotel Le Val Thorens

This hotel was actually one of the resort's first hotels, and inside the décor takes you right back to the 1970s. You'll find the retro style throughout, and touches like ski-themed artwork add character to the rooms.

After a day on the slopes, you can relax in the pool or head to the spa area for some pampering. The cosy lounge has an open fireplace and is an ideal spot to enjoy a drink from the bar, while you chat about the day’s events.

When it comes to food, you can take evening meals in either of the two main restaurants, La Brasserie, which serves up traditional French food, or La Fondue, where you'll find local specialties. And be sure to take advantage of Le 1971 Bar terrace for a lunchtime bite to eat in the sunshine.

Location

Hotel Le Val Thorens is a firm favourite due to its fantastic location. This hotel is situated on the Val Thorens piste with ski-in, ski-out access, meaning skiing the whole of the Three Valleys ski area is super accessible and easy. Pop your skis on at the door and ski down for around 2 minutes to reach the lifts and the ski school meeting point.

Meals

The hotel’s two restaurants offers two dining experiences with two different atmospheres. Le Val Thorens Brasserie is the main restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Le Fondue is a cheese lovers dream, offering Savoyard specialities including raclette, tartiflette and fondue. if you wish to dine in La Fondue please book your table through reception in advance.

A varied buffet breakfast is served each morning between 7.30 - 10am.
Each evening you can enjoy a three course menu with a choice, often featuring traditional French cuisine with dishes varying with the seasons.
Le 1971 bar has a fireplace and music to listen to whilst sipping on a cocktail, or on a sunny day go out to the terrace and take in the mountain views. Le 1971 is open for lunch with a snacking menu, crepes and a lovely terrace area with mountain views.

Comfort Village View Rooms are from 18m² to 26m² and can sleep up to 2 people. There’s a double or twin beds (please request at time of booking) and a view of the village.

Comfort Piste View Rooms are the same as the above room type but with a view of the piste from the balcony.

Superior Family Piste View Rooms are from 23m² to 26m² and can sleep two adults and one child (under 12 years old) and a single sofa bed. This room type has a view of the piste.
