Chalet Edelweiss, Montchavin/Les Coches

Located just 200m from the piste in the centre of Les Coches village, Chalet Edelweiss is one lift away from the Vanoise Express linking La Plagne and Les Arcs making it an ideal choice for keen skiers.

The chalet has 8 spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Sleeping up to 16 guests, chalet Edelweiss can be reserved in conjunction with its sister, Chalet Flocon, for large groups of up to 32 people.

Built with local wood and slate, this stylish property features a hot tub, sauna and games room.

At the end of the day tuck into your delicious afternoon tea in the open plan lounge and dining room, or have a cold beer on the balcony with great views across the valley to Mont Blanc.

Location

Built using local materials and designed for sustainable development, Les Coches has retained a true village feel whilst at the same time ensuring that visitors are well provided for.

The pedestrian village centre with its shops, bars and restaurants is compact and friendly. There is a sledging area and small ice rink, as well as a modern swimming pool and spa complex in nearby Montchavin. The excellent snowshoeing around Les Coches is popular with skiers and non-skiers alike.

Based in the very centre of Paradiski and home to the impressive Vanoise express lift, Les Coches is perfect for accessing one of France’s largest ski areas.

Les Coches is an ideal base for discovering the wide variety of terrain available in La Plagne and Les Arcs. The area around Les Coches boasts some excellent tree-lined skiing for intermediates and experts as well as a popular boarder cross. Beginners are well catered for with two fantastic beginner areas, and a long “cool ski” improvers run to progress onto.

Meals

Start your day with a leisurely hot or traditional cold breakfast.

Help yourself from a continental choice of fresh French bread and croissants. Yoghurts, cereals, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, and juices are offered everyday.

You would prefer the hot option? The offer changes daily. The eggs benedict are a must!

You can also opt for some creamy porridge served with a selection of toppings.

A ski holiday wouldn’t be complete without afternoon tea! Bread, butter, jam, tea, coffee. A freshly baked cake, a tart or biscuits are laid out ready for your return from the slopes – all you have to do is put your feet up and enjoy!

You will find beer, wine and soft drinks in your complimentary bar. We use our local supplier Le Verre Goumand. We offer french 10 wines , which you will get to try during your stay with us.

Tea and coffee are of course available. Please help yourselves.

Dinner is a social affair. Every night, pre dinner cocktails and canapés are served in the chalet lounge, followed by a freshly prepared four-course meal.

The menu varies on a daily basis and the premise is simple – take good quality ingredients and modern recipes then combine them to create an exquisite menu.

We offer a cheese course everyday, giving you the opportunity to sample regional cheeses. Each evening we present a different cheese, telling you the story behind it and how it is made.

With each meal, we carefully select a beautiful red and white wine to best complement the dishes we are serving that evening.

After dinner, relax in the lounge with another wine a freshly brewed coffee or play a game in front of the fire whilst the washing up is done for you.
