Chalet Phoebe is located in the Mussillon area of Méribel. This is community of large detached luxury chalets that have developed over the years becoming extremely popular because of the close proximity to the town centre and its tranquil setting and views. It is an easy walk into town and only a short drive to the central lift station at La Chaudanne with our efficient on call driving service.
Chalet Phoebe was extended and redeveloped four years ago creating an imposing property opposite our Chalet Amarena and just a snowball’s throw from Chalet Le Pousse Caillou. Because of its proximity to Meriski’s other chalets there is also the option for much larger groups to book two properties close by. Chalet Phoebe sleeps 12 plus two children on extra beds or cots. It is perfect for larger groups of friends or two or three families.
Location
Méribel sits in the Les Allues Valley at the heart of the world’s largest skiing area, Les Trois Vallées (The Three Valleys). As part of one of the best ski areas in France, Méribel is a popular choice for skiers of all abilities.
Méribel and Mottaret are the two main resorts in this valley and both are extremely popular with British skiers, possibly because a British man called Peter Lindsay founded the resort in 1938. However the vast skiing area and the unspoilt alpine charm of Méribel are the most likely reasons for its enduring appeal among experienced skiers from all over the world. Méribel is a very pretty resort, unlike some of its purpose-built rivals and retains a traditional feel. Nearly all of the buildings are quaint, timber-framed chalets in a Savoyard wood and stone style.
Méribel has an abundance of boutique shops and a good selection of après ski bars and restaurants. The bi-weekly street market is worth a visit for local produce and souvenirs. Méribel extends from the Mussillon area at 1450m to Le Rond Point at 1700m. This means that the village is quite spread out but there is a regular bus service if you need to get about when not on skis.
