The chic and modern Écrin Blanc, located just below Courchevel 1650, has a somewhat mountain chalet feel with its wood-clad and stone exterior. From off the large and bright reception, there are plenty of cosy corners for sitting back with a book or chatting about your ski day. Or make the most of the facilities and check out the hotel bars and Aquamotion wellness oasis.
It couldn’t be more convenient for getting on the mountain. There’s a ski shop in the hotel for getting all your equipment, and the Les Belles Combes lift is just opposite the hotel. The free ski bus stops right outside too, so it’s easy if you want to head to another village of Courchevel for a wander.
The rooms continue the modern but rustic theme of the hotel with wood panelling and neutral, calming colours. And if you don’t fancy rushing to breakfast, you can always indulge in a little room service.
When it comes to meal times, the buffet breakfast is served in the sophisticated dining room. In the evening, head to the Grill restaurant to enjoy French cuisine with a view of the mountains through the large bay windows.
When you’re not on the mountain, there are three bars and two lounges for relaxing. Or head through the underground walkway to the Aquamotion wellness centre, where you'll be able to use the pools and water slides for free.
Taking the kids? The hotel’s free kids’ club has a packed programme of sports, games and activities. And with early meal sittings for families, you can get them off to bed ready for another day of swooshing down the slopes.
