Popular as a wedding venue, the hotel has been extensively improved over the years and has many innovative designer features. The latest addition is a panoramic rooftop terrace which offers superb views across Lake Zell and the Old Town – a perfect spot to watch the ski show on Wednesdays and enjoy a glass of mulled wine.
This family-run hotel is located in the centre of Zell am See, only 30 metres from the pedestrian zone and a 5-minute walk from the cable cars and Lake Zell. An indoor pool, ice skating rink, bowling alley, cafes, bars and restaurants are all within 200 metres of Hotel Heitzmann.

Austrian twin beds
Austrian twin beds are very common in Central Europe. They’re simply one large bed frame containing two single mattresses, both with separate duvets and linen sets, that cannot be separated. Separate twin beds are less common and can often be head to head beds, rather than side by side, if they are available.
