Serfaus Ski Holiday Resort

Overview

Serfaus is a popular skiing destination located in the Austrian Alps that is little known to the UK market but is huge with the Austrian, German and Scandinavian markets. It is part of the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski area, which offers a wide range of skiing and snowboarding opportunities for all skill levels. Here are some key points about Serfaus skiing: Ski Area: Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is one of the largest ski areas in Tyrol, Austria. It covers a vast expanse with over 214 kilometers (133 miles) of slopes and 68 modern ski lifts. Terrain: The ski area caters to all abilities, from beginners to advanced skiers and snowboarders. There are plenty of easy and intermediate slopes, as well as challenging runs for more experienced riders. Family-Friendly: Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is known for being a family-friendly ski resort. The area provides excellent facilities for children, including dedicated children's ski schools, play areas, and childcare services. Snow Reliability: The ski season in Serfaus typically runs from December to April, with good snow conditions due to the resort's high altitude and access to snow-making facilities. Ski Schools: If you're a beginner or want to improve your skiing skills, there are several ski schools in Serfaus that offer lessons for all ages and levels. Off-Piste and Freeriding: For advanced skiers and snowboarders looking for more excitement, there are opportunities for off-piste skiing and freeriding. However, it's essential to have the necessary skills and safety equipment and, if needed, hire a local guide. Terrain Parks: Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis has terrain parks for freestyle enthusiasts, offering various jumps, rails, and other features to practice tricks and jumps. Après-Ski: After a day on the slopes, you can enjoy the lively après-ski scene in Serfaus. There are bars, restaurants, and other entertainment options to relax and have fun with friends and family. Overall, Serfaus offers an excellent skiing experience with its diverse slopes, stunning alpine scenery, and family-friendly atmosphere, making it a fantastic choice for winter sports enthusiasts of all ages. Before planning your trip, it's always a good idea to check the latest weather and snow conditions to ensure the best skiing experience.

Offslope/apres ski

Compared to its internationally renowned neighbours of St Anton and Ischgl Serfaus is far more laid back. It’s not the place to party into the small hours with nightclubs  but it does have apres ski.

There are numerous umbrella and traditional apres ski bars adjacent to the valley floor runs  playing live and loud music to share a few steins and Jaegers. Fiss hosts the Hexenalm and Ladis has the fun Altweiberkessel bar. In Serfaus you can dance the night away at Patchis.
