Catered Ski Chalets

One of the most popular types of ski holiday in Europe is a catered ski chalet holiday. We have a whole host of chalet holidays to pick from across France, Austria, Italy and Switzerland.

Originally, chalets were simple accommodation with shared facilities but now most are fully en-suite (some chalets even include childcare),  whilst many have additional leisure facilities such as hot tubs, saunas, games rooms, cinemas, and even their own exclusive swimming pools!

Why Choose a Chalet?

Catered ski chalets are a wonderful way to enjoy a ski holiday with family, friends, colleagues, or if you simply want to join like-minded skiers. A British concept, the catered ski chalet has become the preferred choice for many skiers. Chalets are mostly present across France followed by Switzerland, Austria, Italy, North America, and a smattering across alternative countries.

Catered chalets are, pound for pound, much less expensive than hotels and this is why it has now become the number one choice for British holidaying skiers visiting the Alps. Please have a browse around our site but if you can't find what you’re looking for then call one of our ski consultants now for a chat about the best catered chalets.

What’s Included with Fully Catered Ski Chalets?

So, what is catered chalet board? Well, it consists of breakfast, afternoon tea, and an evening meal with unlimited wine (usually) until coffee is served. The evening meal is for 6 nights out of 7 (usually), with the staff having one evening off. Now, catered chalets often mean that the food is prepared by a chalet "boy" or "girl" so please don't expect restaurant standard cuisine but you will experience good, wholesome, and filling fare.

What Types of Ski Chalets Are There?

Catered ski chalets come in all shapes and sizes from chalets for 4 up to chalets for 40 plus guests. Then we have the chalet hotels which are the structure of a hotel complete with a bar but run on a chalet board basis. Chalets can be booked on a shared basis or for sole use. Many chalets will sell exclusively for sole use until a certain point in time and then the owners or tour operators may open them up on a shared basis. Here are some of the options we have available:

Budget Ski Chalets

On a budget? Don’t worry. We have a range of great-value chalets you’re sure to love. Take a look at our deals section for regular deals, last minute catered ski chalets and special ski offers for numerous ski chalets and resorts.

Group Ski Chalets

Travelling with a large group of friends? We have several private ski chalets with more than enough room for you and your fellow skiers. Whether you’re looking for a small six-bedded chalet for sole occupancy, or a group of 100 looking to take over a chalet hotel, Ski Finders can offer you some brilliant group discounts.

Family Ski Chalets

What could beat spending some quality time with your family in beautiful surroundings? Our family ski holiday chalets offer childcare facilities, wonderful for families with younger children. Designed exclusively for families skiing together, you’ll be sure to enjoy a quality family skiing holiday in a gorgeous chalet at a great price.

Ski In Ski Out Chalets

Want to be near the slopes without the hassle of getting a bus or battling your way through the snow in your ski boots? We have a variety of ski chalets near to pistes so you can step out of your accommodation and immediately hit the slopes. Not only are these chalets and hotels sited right beside the pistes, their locations also offer magnificent views of the nearby slopes and snow topped mountains.

What About Luxury Ski Chalets?

Who doesn’t enjoy a little luxury? Our range of luxury chalet holidays offer top-notch service, first-class facilities, not to mention breath-taking vistas. Our selection includes all the very best accommodation in the luxury chalet rental market. You’ll experience chef-prepared dishes, but just expect a cost element involved here. A good consideration is to think how much it’d cost to have your own private chef cooking for 6-12 guests every night.........it soon adds up! A new breed of "foodie" chalet has emerged in the Alps and Snow Finders refers to these as gastro-chalets.  These include:

Ski Chalets with Hot Tubs

Hot tubs and premium ski holidays go hand-in-hand, don’t they? Tubs have become the latest fad when it comes to après-ski, where folks can bask in a bubbling tub, nursing their tired limbs after a cold, exhausting day on the slopes. Unlike the unusually freezing outdoor air, the comforting, high temperatures of the hot tub make the evenings all the more relaxing. Our ski chalets with hot tubs are located in Austria, France, Belgium, USA, Canada, Italy and more.

Ski Chalets with Swimming Pools

While we can’t all have the luxury of having a swimming pool in our home, we can absolutely have one in a chalet. Here at Snow Finders, we have an array of chalets with swimming pools, both indoor and outdoors, which will ensure you have all you need during your stay. Swimming is great fun for the whole family – an excellent way to de-stress and soothe tired muscles.
