Here at Snow Finders we have been promoting the Club Med holiday concept for the last 5 years and our sales have grown considerably during that time.

I first experienced a Club Med holiday at their 4 Trident property in Cervinia Italy. Initially the idea of an “all inclusive” conjured up ideas of substandard food and service, and plenty of little extras that were not included. How wrong could I have been……….on arrival we were greeted by two members of staff and our bags taken from us, all the checking in process was swiftly taken care of and we were taken to our rooms. The room was in the Cristallino part of the hotel which is about a 5 minute walk from the main reception and bar areas. The rooms were large with a huge double bed and large bathroom. We were issued with lift passes which were full area passes that entitled us to ski over to Switzerland and Zermatt. Had we chosen to take lessons we would have organised them at that time. Each member of the party is issued with a wrist band, red for adults and green for the children.

We went into the bar area for pre dinner drinks and canapés. A large table was laid out with a huge selection of canapés and pre dinner nibbles. On each table in the lounge was a bar menu with a great selection of all drinks that even included cocktails, alcoholic for the adults and non-alcoholic for the children. We had a very relaxing ½hour nibbling on canapés and enjoying our Mojito’s. We then went up to dinner and couldn’t quite comprehend the amount of choice and the quality of food on offer. There was a great selection of chef’s specials each day with many meats such as fillets of beef and various fish choices such as Turbot, fresh prawns and sea bass, a selection of pasta choices, fresh salad buffet, a Pizza oven with freshly cooked pizzas and all of the usual child favourites of Chicken, burgers and chips etc. All meals are buffet style and you can go up and help yourself as many times as you want. A waiter brings wine to the table and the selection on offer is of a good standard. This quality was maintained throughout the week. On one night we walked up the stairs to the restaurant to be greeted by the staff opening fresh Oysters, another night lobster was on the menu. That is the standard of food on offer.

On our first ski day we went down to the ski room where each room has a locker to store all their equipment, skis and boots are the only thing in the Club Med package not included and pre booking equipment hire is recommended.

A fleet of minibuses run guests down to the lifts and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a lift. The distance to the lifts from the Club Med hotel is a 2 minute ride and was never a problem.

At lunch time you have a choice of either skiing back to the main hotel for lunch or you can pre book each day a sitting at the Club Med mountain restaurant, where the choices are more limited but perfectly adequate for that lunch time break.

Each evening the staff offer entertainment in the theatre which whilst a bit “cheesy” are a great laugh and you soon forget all of your Anglo Saxon reserve and enter into the fun. Most evenings, in the lounge area there is music to keep you entertained.

Club Med guests are a variety of Nationalities and you get a feel of a truly international clientele with Italians, French, Spanish, South African, Israeli, Russian, Scandinavian and British guests.

We came away at the end of the week absolutely raving about the Club Med product and vowed to try to convert our clients to something we knew they would love. That was 5 years ago and today we are one of top ten agents in the UK for Club Med, our experience over those 5 years has seen all of our members of staff experiencing a Club Med ski holiday and we are proud of our product knowledge of the Club Med ski resorts. If one member of staff doesn’t know the answer to your question another will.

We have found that once people experience Club Med they will want to return year after year and whilst the initial price can seem expensive if you do the “work it back” sum with £200 the average lift pass price, lessons at £100, lunches at £100 and all drinks and snacks at ???? , the price actually offers great value for money. If you take advantage of the child care on offer in certain resorts it’s even better value!

Here at Snow Finders we can offer you some great deals and we know all the best resorts, best prices and the early season discounts make booking now a must for cost conscious families.
