Big Sky Ski Holiday Resort

Overview

When Big Sky linked up with Moonlight basin and agreed a joint lift pass the area became the biggest linked ski area in the USA (bigger than Vail). The skiing in Big Sky suits all levels but with the emphasis on intermediate to advanced terrain, beginners are well catered for but it is a long way to go for complete beginners. The village is close to the ski lift making for a very ski convenient resort. The lack of crowds on the mountain is really quite staggering.

Big Sky has a big reputation for steep and deep skiing and mixed with the lowest skier density in the world makes this resort a fabulously hidden gem. The lack of apres ski, the average mountain restaurants, and the lack of atmosphere in teh evenings are more than made up for with friendly locals, great conditions, empty pistes, and a whopping 5532 acres of terrain.

Beginners, intermediates, and experts will all love Big Sky. Bowls, bumps, blacks, and blues - Big Sky; big smiles!

Offslope/apres ski

Not really a non-skiers destination and if you want to party there are better places to go.
