Champagny-en-Vanoise
Overview
An authentic Savoyard village on the edge of the Vanoise National Park, Champagny is a charming resort nestling in a forest of fir trees, ideally located for quick and easy access into the main La Plagne ski domain (7mins by cable car). It sits in a completeky seperate valley to the other 10 La Plagne villages but connects in on the quieter side and so when the snow has fallen over night it is a powder hound's paradise.
The skiing is fantastic for beginners and intermediates, however, the former will need to download on the gondola as the two runs back to resort are both red. The green run and nursery area above the village is fantastic with a friendly ski school to boot.
Experts will love the off-piste hear but the area doesnt have as many challenges as nearby Les Arcs, Three Valleys, or Espace Killy.
Offslope/apres ski
Quiet apres ski in the village with a couple of good bars to enjoy some after ski fun
