Sun Peaks Ski Holiday Resort
Overview
Now Canada's second largest ski area and boasting over 4270 acres of varied terrain. From beginners greens, to cruisey blues, to black and double black diamond trails, and amazing back country skiing. Sun Peaks attracts powder hounds as well as families and groups now. The ski area have been improved and extended for the 2015/16 season with the addition og Gil's backcountry bowl. Further developments are in the pipeline. The recent big investment in the mountain and the village has made this small resort a major player. Easy access to all three of the mountains via a superb and queue free lift system can be enjoyed and the skier density here is very low - crowds and lift lines are virtually unheard of! The resort is the brainchild of Nancy Greene who is the resort director and Olympic Gold and Silver Medallist as well as 13 World Cup wins to her name. She has conceived a resort with mainly ski in ski out which appeals to all levels of skier from novice to expert.
