Hopfgarten
Overview
A stunning, traditional village with friendly locals and a complete contrast to the French ski factory resorts. Hopfgarten offers direct gondola access to the Hohe Salve peak in the centre of the Ski Welt domain. It is a laid back sleepy village so for those wanting a thumping nightlife both Soll, Westendorf and Kitzbuhel are only a very short taxi ride away.
The runs back into resort are some of the best in the Ski Welt and the gondola access is totally queue free. The ski area covers over 280km of piste shared with the adjacent villages of Soll, Ellmau, Westendorf, Brixen, etc.
Offslope/apres ski
There are a couple of bars and some great restaurants including a Chinese and a pizzeria. Most of the restaurants are situated within hotels. The Contiki Gasthof has a great bar (18-35 year old scene) with atmosphere. for those looking for the apres drinking and clubbing scene then Westendorf, Soll, and Kitzbuhel are all a very short taxi ride away.
Winter walkers have numerous options to chose from in some stunning scenery.
