Christmas Ski

Christmas 2022 is the most atmospheric time to ski. Nestle in a chalet or alpine hotel under a blanket of snow and white covered pine trees is everyone idea of the perfect Christmas. As a caveat we’d remind you that Christmas Eve tends to be day of celebratory meal day in Europe. Of course there is a question mark over snow reliability this week but essentially if your resort level is 1600m or above then you are pretty much guaranteed snow at village level. Higher resorts can compromise on the aesthetics of the resort but for charm we’d recommend Obergurgl, Lech, Zermatt, Corvara, Saas Fee, and Val d’Isere. If it’s purely snow reliability you are after then France tends to win but suggestions include Les Arcs, Val Thorens, Tignes, Cervinia, Verbier, Livigno, Obertauern, and Kuhtai, amongst others.
