Catered Holiday Chalets
Ski chalets are a British concept to the holiday market. You can rent a chalet for your party's sole use or you can even share a chalet with like minded skiers and snowboarders. Snow finders have access to over 1000 catered chalets in Europe and North America. Chalets are most prevalent in France in resorts such as Meribel, Val d'Isere, La Plagne, Les Arcs, etc. Outside of France chalets are abundant in the Swiss resorts of Zermatt and Verbier. In Austria they are favoured in St Anton and in Italy in Selva and Arabba. Catered chalets are a very economical way of skiing owing to the inclusion of wine with your evening meal and the allowance of drinking your own alcohol in the lounge areas. Hotels & Apartments
Ski hotels and ski apartments are the more traditional way to enjoy your fix of the white stuff. Whilst hotels will range from the 2 to the 5 star, apartments have always been of a more economical specification - now that has all changed. The modern apartments offer more spacious accommodation and a range of facilities that challenge the upper market of ski hotels with swimming pools, reception lounges, saunas, hot tubs and other on site facilities. Many of the hotels offer a more homely environment and, especially in Austria, these are likely to be family run businesses of many years.
