Murren Ski Holiday Resort
Overview
Perched at 1650m on a cliff top setting is the charming and small traffic free village of Murren. Accessed by cable car and mountain railway this is a must visit village on the skiers' bucket list. although the village has just 60km of piste the full area incorporates 213km. the views are stunning and coupled with the charm of the village it is no wonder that Arnold Lunn, of Lunn Polly fame, set up the Kandahar ski club (amongst others) in 1924. from here in set above the Lauterbrunnen valley. Murren is a pleasant escape from the large purpose built resorts of some of the better known alpine destinations. Stunning views of the surrounding mountains across the valley to the mighty Eiger. Add to this the Schilthorn run with is 1300 metres vertical and amazing views.
