The vibrant resort of Laax is the new kid on the block, boasting a whopping 216km of piste coupled with amazing off-piste and free ride areas plus a ridiculous amount of snow parks, 5 in total. This is, after all, the leading freestyle resort in the Alps. The state of art lift system transports excited skiers efficiently to explore this wonderful domain from resort level at 1100m up to the Vorab glacier at over 3000m. With an almost 2000m vertical and a great snow snow record, the resort welcomes skiers from the end of November to mid April every season; this is one impressive season for one impressive resort. Once sitting under the radar of the Brits, we are now the second largest market for the resort after the Swiss domestic market. Just imagine that we now number more guests than the Germans considering Swiss/German border is only an hour and a half away by car! Laax/Flims/Falera with over 200km of piste encompasses three villages with a mixture of wooded trails and alpine skiing. From beginner slopes to blues, reds, blacks and itinerary runs there is something for all standards of skiers and boarders here. For the more adventurous the freestyle skiing is world class and gives any ski region a run for its money. With the ski hire shops all under one umbrella this means you can change your rental equipment up on the mountain in accordance with conditions and or a change in plan on the terrain you wish to tackle.
