Bled Ski Holiday Resort
Overview
The beautiful lakeside towns of Bled and Bohinj offer small but quiet ski areas, suitable for beginners and surrounded by magnificent scenery. The resort is only 40 minutes away from Ljubljana’s airport.
Beginners will be able to master the basic techniques before testing the wide open runs on Vogel's superb plateau. First time skiers will make quick progress under the skilful instruction of the Bohinj Ski School.
For intermediates, this is an ideal region to improve your skiing confidence, among breathtaking scenery. There are wonderful pine-clad pistes that are great for practising technique, and the Orlove Glave chairlift will take you up to some fantastic red runs, like Kratki Plaz and Konta.
For the advanced skier, the most popular run in Vogel is at the top of the Sija single seat chairlift - it's a long run that winds all the way back down the mountain and is a must-try for more advanced skiers.
Offslope/apres ski
The off slope activities are many and varied and include cross country skiing, sleigh rides, a Casino, dog sledding, winter walking paths, snowshoe walking, and torchlit walks.
Thanks to Bled's year-round popularity, there's an excellent range of restaurants to choose from - over 50 in all. It's always great to try the local Slovenian food, but there's plenty of international options as well.
