Lillehammer Ski Holiday Resort

The magical town of Lillehammer is an internationally celebrated ski centre and one of Norway’s most established resorts. As well as Norway’s renowned snow surety, you can expect fantastic service levels. The resort is under two hours from Oslo by car or train, and is home to a choice of award winning restaurants.

The ski slopes and accommodations themselves are in nearby Hafjell, a lovely self-contained village with a choice of shops and services. With so much on offer in resort, Lillehammer and Hafjell are the perfect resorts for those looking for more than just a skiing holiday.

There are more than 450km of marked and maintained cross-country trails making this a haven for advanced and budding cross-country enthusiasts and those looking for a more relaxed mountain holiday. Hafjell's slopes are varied, with some challenging reds and long blues through the trees.

There is an 'excellent' terrain park and night-skiing is popular. The ski school is highly praised. Facilities for children are good, with a new snow garden and child care centre. The resort has a couple of bars and restaurants - Woody's bar and Peppi's pizza are recommended.

Offslope/apres ski

The resort of Hafjell is generally family orientated with a larger choice of bars and pubs in Lillehammer itself. Hafjell has a good selection of relaxed restaurants and cafes while Lillehammer has a wide choice of eateries from international a la carte to traditional cuisine.

A proper village with many attractions including the Olympic bobsleigh where you can reach speeds of 120km/hr. The apr├Ęs ski in Lillehammer is animated and fun.

Variety best sums up this resort as a winter sports destination.
