Hotel Fanes, San Cassiano

The luxurious Hotel Fanes is one of the finest hotels in the Val Badia area in a sunny, elevated position affording fantastic panoramic views of the Dolomites. The hotel has a strong history in the area and throughout the hotel, you will find furniture from the 16th and 17th century which embraces their roots.

Warm and spacious rooms, many of which have wooden flooring or walls are lit up by natural daylight and have spectacular views of the surrounding mountains as well as the village below. The interior is exactly what you would expect from a 5 star hotel and is clean, luxurious and of course comfortable.

Not only does the hotel have a very impressive spa and wellness centre, with huge areas dedicated to relaxation where you will find an open fireplace and heated waterbeds to close your eyes and find peace of mind, the main feature is the 25 metre outdoor 'sky pool' with 360 degree views all around - this really is an impressive wow factor that you won't find anywhere else.

Meals are equally as impressive as the hotel and you won't be stuck for choice, especially at dinner where you will be treated to at least 5 courses, many with local themes.  The hotel's sommelier will be happy to suggest wines from some of the best cellars of Sud Tirol and other regions of Italy.

The nearest ski lift is 500 metres away and the hotel provides a free shuttle service throughout the day. Truly a fantastic hotel with exceptional service.

Meals

All meals are served in the hotel's beautiful restaurant. A rich buffet breakfast with hot and cold options are on offer to start your day as well as organic choices.

A free daily tea time buffet served between 4-5:30pm has a number of both sweet and savoury items to enjoy.

The evening five course gourmet dinners are authentic regional dishes made with locally grown ingredients, something that is very important to the hotel and their philosophy, so much so they grow much of the produce on their farm. Eating such quality food you will of course require quality wine to accompany this, and their cellar will not disappoint. If you get stuck for choice, just ask the on site sommelier who will be more than happy to help with pairing.

If wine tasting is something you are interested in, then you can ask at the hotel and they will be able to arrange this for you.

Ladina Double Rooms sleep two people and are around 28m². Rooms have a bath or a shower. All rooms have a WC, TV, safe, minibar, hair dryer and a balcony. These rooms have recently been renovated. These rooms can be requested for sole occupancy at a supplement.

Piz La Ila Double Rooms sleep up to four people (the extra bed is a double sofa bed) and are around 42m². Rooms have a shower.

Natural Loft Suite sleep up to four people (the extra bed is a double sofa bed) and are around 100m². The suite has a shower and tea and coffee making facilities but best of all a Finnish sauna and fireplace.
