Hotel Relais des Glaciers, Champoluc

Hotel Relais Des Glaciers is a gorgeous, family-run mountain home that caught our attention straight away. You’ll be met with a warm, personal welcome from the staff, ready to ensure you have a comfortable and memorable holiday. It’s in a good position close to the centre of Champoluc and about 800 metres from the Crest gondola. The hotel has an arrangement with the ski hire shop by the gondola, so you can leave your equipment there. Then it’s just a nice ten minute walk through town, to and from the slopes. They do also run a shuttle service in the mornings and evenings, so you can rest your weary ski legs if you so wish.

Alpine features like wood panelled walls, Turkish carpets and an open fire, make for a cosy environment to come back to after a big day on the slopes. Nowhere more so than in the Lounge Bar, sitting in the comfy armchairs with your favourite drink in hand, catching up on the best runs of the day. The bed and breakfast board basis means that you’ll be well fueled with lots of choices from pancakes to omelets, everything homemade. It also means you’ll have flexibility to choose where you dine in the evenings. The hotel has a great menu and serve food from 12.30pm to 10pm, so don’t worry about going hungry! Just ask the staff and they’ll be happy to recommend some local restaurants, and even drop you off and pick you up if it’s a little further afield.

One of our favourite parts of the hotel is the heated outdoor pool and spa. It’s such a unique experience, swimming outside, whilst surrounded by snow and the whirlpool and sauna are a nice indulgence for tired muscles.

Meals

The breakfast buffet here has a huge amount of choice with fresh fruit, pancakes, jams, bread, cakes and biscuits, salami produced on the family farm or delicious cheeses, omelettes and eggs. Everything is home made. Breakfast is served from 7.30am - 11.30am, so you can have a nice long lie in if you want.

Standard Rooms sleep two and have a mountain view. They come with a bath or shower, TV, safe, minibar and hairdryer.
