Hotel Chalet Barbara, Arabba

Chalet Barbara isn’t quite slopeside, but it’s pretty close. After fuelling up on a huge continental breakfast, you can click into your skis a few steps from the chalet and slide down to Arabba’s main Burz lift, just a few minutes away. And on the way back down, just take the cut-off just after the Plan Boe, and you’ll come out right behind the hotel.

This friendly hotel has traditional, chalet-style wood panelling throughout – the perfect backdrop for sharing stories beside the roaring fire. What’s more, there’s a lovely little wellness area with sauna and steam room for relaxing sore muscles before dinner, which is served at the Sporthotel Arabba, a 10-minute walk away.
