Hotel Koh-I Nor

At 2,364m, the Koh-I Nor is the highest 5-star hotel in Europe – and it lives up to the name, which means ‘Mountain of Light’ in Persian. Mealtimes are a real highlight at the Koh-I Nor. You’ll have the choice of three top-class restaurants – enjoy a superb 5-course meal in L’Atelier d’Eric, or swap this for a credit towards a meal in the fantastic Le Diamant Noir restaurant, run by Michelin-starred chef Eric Samson, or La Cave restaurant. In the evenings, curl up in front of the fire in the bar, or sit out on the panoramic terrace and soak up the views.

The spa is something special. There are two pools, a hot tub, sauna, hammam, salt wall, ice fountain and experience showers, plus a full menu of treatments and massages. Whether you’re winding down after a day on the slopes or just soaking up the calm, it’s a proper pampering spot. Families are well looked after too, with games rooms, kids’ menus and a pre-bookable Baby Pack with all the essentials.

And when it’s time to ski, you’re straight out onto the slopes – the Koh-I Nor is ski-in, ski-out, so you can make the most of every minute on the mountain.

At the top of the resort and a 10 minutes' walk downhill to the resort centre. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus on request (8am – 11pm).
