Tignes
Overview
Offslope/apres ski
There is a small selection of activities for those who don’t ski such as ice-skating, snowmobiling and dog sledding. There is also a new leisure complex with great pools and wellness areas, but bear in mind that these activities do get booked up quite quickly. There is a good selection of bars spread across the different areas in Tignes, and restaurants are varied with welcoming and efficient staff.
Tignes nightlife, whilst not in the same league as Meribel, Val d’Isere and St Anton, is busy and entertaining with some worthwhile apres ski destinations. With bars including the popular French bar Embuscade at the top of Le Bec Rouge area of Tignes Le Lac, the ever popular Grizzly in Val Claret. Dropzone in Val Claret has a hugely popular apres ski scene from 3-6pm and then the venue morphs into a nightclub for action into the small hours.
Tignes Le Lac has the ever popular Loop Bar and Jacks nightclub plus the bowling alley.
