Set in its own secluded orchards, with breath-taking views from full height windows across 13 pretty villages and settlements stretching towards the Vanoise National Park and the magnificent Grand Bec mountain rising 3400 metres to the east and with the silence broken only by bird song, it's not surprising that some guests in Iona put skiing in second place within days of arriving, just to enjoy the peace and comfort of the chalet.
The property comprises 3 buildings; the main chalet, completely rebuilt in 2017, sleeps 10 in its two master bedrooms and 4 twin or double guest rooms. The entrance opens into a large, high ceilinged living area with a stunning, modern open plan kitchen, inviting seating areas around the dramatic, suspended fireplace and a huge, hand-made oak dining table close to the large east-facing panoramic windows.
Stairs lead down to an elegant sitting room with wood burning stove, cinema area, reading corners with board games, this area opens onto the large jacuzzi terrace, the first master bedroom is also on this floor.
On the lowest level are the remaining 5 bedrooms, each with its own style, be it art deco or Biedermeier furniture, or reflecting the seasons or the passions of the owner's family and each with its own bath or shower room.
Next door and with the same lovely views is the picture-postcard Chalet India, which is yours to use as a children's playroom or quiet massage / pilates / yoga studio, or would be perfect for a couple or 3 close friends.
Location
The chalet is an 8-10 minute chauffeured drive from the nearest Olympie telecabine at Les Allues and a 15-20 minute drive to the centre of Méribel.
Meals
Beautiful food and wine are central to the experience. After a long day on the slopes, what can be better than sharing your adventures with friends and family over exquisite canapés and champagne? Delivered with impeccable service in a relaxed environment, it's what our guests return for year after year. Skillfully prepared and elegantly presented, our professional chefs meticulously balance flavours and textures to create truly remarkable and memorable dishes. From breakfast through to sweet treats, canapés and dinner, our gourmet quality cuisine is what makes days on the mountain so satisfying.
Beautiful food calls for exceptional chefs, which is why we only hire fully qualified professionals with experience in top quality restaurants. With free reign to do what they do best, they use their creativity and flair to turn the finest ingredients into works of art. But it's not all about presentation; taste is king. Using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, every meal is defined by flavour, texture and balance. This obsession with perfection is what makes our guests' stay so extraordinary, elevating the experience to exquisite heights.
Setting yourself up for a great day on the slopes and rewarding yourself afterwards are some of the best elements of a skiing holiday. You'll start your day with a beautifully presented breakfast of fruit juices, a freshly made "smoothie" or fruit / vegetable juice, fresh coffees, teas, yoghurts, cereals, porridge, a hot dish - such as "Eggs Royale" or a "full English breakfast" - jambon cru, cheeses, fresh fruit salad, fresh bread, freshly baked croissants and jams. After your day on the slopes, homemade cakes and biscuits await you in the sitting room. Dinner is the pièce de résistance. Before your meal, canapés and champagne allow you to unwind in true style. You're then treated to an exceptional four-course meal, rounded off with freshly ground coffee, a digestif and homemade truffles.
Dinner is provided on five nights of your stay.
We're more than happy to tailor your meals to your dietary preferences. A range of teas, coffees and fresh fruit are available at any time along with our complimentary bar of champagne, wine, spirits, beer and mixers.
