Slip into your skis outside the Montana’s boot room and ski to the main gondola on a gentle green run in under a minute. And, when you’re back at the end of the day you can swap slope stories beside the open fireplace in the bar and lounge – there’s sometimes live music on, too. A game of pool in the games room will tap into that competitive streak, or hit the sauna, steam room and indoor pool for some relaxation.
Rooms at the Montana are spacious. All of them come with a balcony and you can choose a view of the piste or the valley. You’ll find warm wood, white walls and simple furnishings in all of the rooms, and throughout the rest of the hotel.
A continental buffet breakfast will set you up for a day on the slopes, and if you’re back between 4-5pm you can help yourself to afternoon tea and cake. Enjoy dinner in one of the two restaurants, and don’t miss the special weekly Savoyard evening, serving traditional favourites like raclette and fondue.
