- Nearest lift approx. 1 minutes walk (100m)
- Substantial breakfast, afternoon tea, childrens high tea, and 3 course evening meals with complimentary wine and coffee
The Chalet Valentine sleeping just five guests, is only ever booked for sole use and adults and children take their evening meal together. It’s perfect if you’re seeking exclusivity as a family. It has its own external entrance within the Grandes Alpes building, where we have two other chalets.
Its position is hard to beat, being right next to the ski area used for the 3-4 year olds in our Spritelets classes, and with the main ski lifts less than 150m away. Our childcare bases for Nursery, Snow Club and evening Cocoa Club are similarly close by, and La Rosiere’s charming centre with a few shops and restaurants is a short stroll too.
There are just two bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room, plus there’s an additional bathroom to share. The homely sitting room with log fireplace and TV/DVD is separate from the dining room which has a balcony offering beautiful views over the Tarentaise valley.
Breakfast – is served buffet-style with a selection of cold options including a choice of cereals or porridge, cold meats, cheese and preserves, bread (and croissants in France), fruit juices, tea and coffee and a cooked breakfast of bacon, sausage, eggs and beans. On the staff day off, a continental style breakfast is laid out for you to help yourselves in all chalets.
Afternoon Tea – Every day, apart from our staff day off, a home-baked cake and tea and coffee making facilities are laid out for you to help yourself when you return from the slopes.
High Tea for all children under 11 is at 5.30pm. It is served as a 2 course healthy menu, tailored more towards children’s tastes and puréed food is available for infants. Parents are asked to accompany their children under 3, whilst 3-10 years old are supervised by our childcare team.
Evening Meals – Adult dinner is at 7.30pm comprises 3 courses including an appetiser, main dish and dessert. The meal is accompanied by a prosecco apéritif and a choice of red, rose and white wines, culminating with tea or coffee. A 3 course regional speciality menu is served as one of the 6 evening meals in chalets. This varies by country and the French menu includes charcuterie, goat’s cheese salad, tartiflette and tarte tatin, accompanied by the prosecco apéritif and choice of wines.
On Staff Night Off, you and your family have the opportunity to eat out in one of the local restaurants. Ask our staff for any recommendations.
Family Dining – Many parents prefer to enjoy adult-only company over dinner but if it’s important to you to eat dinner altogether as a family, we offer Family Dining when you book the entire chalet for exclusive use. Dinner is then served from 6.30pm with the menu based on our adult dishes with some flexibility for the children’s preferences. There is a supplement of £39 per child for Family Dining.
