Chalet Mira, La Plagne

Chalet Mira was recently built to a very high standard and is located in the perfect position in La Plagne 1800 only 200m away from the slopes and it is located close to bars and restaurants. Chalet Mira is a penthouse chalet apartment set out over two floor of a small private chalet building housing four of our catered chalets and it can sleep 12 to 14 people in 6 en-suite bedrooms. It has great views from the balconies and there is a private hot tub on the balcony outside together with a sauna inside the chalet.

Location

La Plagne 1800 is situated amongst the pine trees in its own self-contained village with a good selection of local restaurants, bars, equipment hire shop and a small supermarket. It has kept its classic charm and traditional wooden chalets to provide you with a relaxing skiing trip. It is perfect for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy the slopes alongside the resorts friendly and cosy atmosphere. With access to spectacular runs and good weather conditions, you also have access to the ski schools and amenities in La Plagne Centre which is easy to reach using the free shuttle buses.

Paradiski is the combination of La Plagne and Les Arcs and is well known for its snow sure and extensive ski area. 425km of piste are on offer, linked by the impressive Vanoise Express cable car. It's a beginners and intermediate skiers heaven with miles of wide gentle cruising blues, whilst advanced skiers will enjoy great runs on the Bellecote glacier and the challenging blacks beyond. The resort has a great reputation for all skiers and snowboarders and the stunning scenery through the areas beautiful forest runs makes it a place to remember.

Meals

As skiers ourselves, we know how important breakfast is to set you up for a good day on the mountain so on the 5 days where a cooked breakfast is provided you can take your pick from porridge and eggs cooked to order, French bread, preserves, croissants, yoghurt, muesli, cereals and a differing cooked option which includes sausages and bacon, fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs with lardons, all served alongside fruit juice and freshly brewed coffee or our specially imported Yorkshire tea. On our self-service days there is a good selection to choose from including cereals, bread,ham and cheese etc.

It’s a favourite chalet tradition, coming back to your chalet at the end of a hard day on the piste to a freshly baked cake along with tea and coffee.

Our menu is freshly prepared to create delicious wholesome dishes that may range from local mountain favourites such as a traditional rich boeuf bourguignon to Loin of pork with caramelised apple and cider all served with delicious accompaniments and seasonal vegetables. We finish with scrumptious desserts such as a classic warming apple crumble or a melt in your mouth chocolate fondant. All of our food is complimented with a choice of handpicked wines  and finally we round off the evening with freshly brewed coffee and tea. On your final evening we serve a fourth course of cheese.

Your host will serve our house wine throughout the meal which we have specially chosen to accompany the dishes on our menu. We have a house white, rose and red wines based on our pre-season wine tastings which we do every year plus feedback that we receive each year from our guests.

Children aged between 2 and 12 will be served an earlier 2 course menu of simple home cooked favourites at around 6.30 pm.For children under 2 baby food is not provided.

Sauna

The chalet is on the top floor of a small recently built building and benefits from a hot tub on the balcony with ski-slope views and a sauna indoors.
