La Clusaz Ski Holiday Resort

Overview

La Clusaz retains true French charm even though it has developed over the years into an international resort. The majority of the buildings have been built in the chalet style and blend well. Les Etages is a smaller centre with accommodation south of the main town. The skiing is split into five main areas with each one being connected to at least one other. Most runs keep their snow well because they are west or north-west facing. There are nursery slopes at village level and early intermediates will find plenty of skiing at the top of Beauregard. For experts the best terrain is to be found at La Balme and there are opportunities for off-piste skiing in most sectors. Another feature of this resort are the mountain restaurants - there are many and they are generally charming and serve very good value food.

Offslope/apres ski

Various bars, some with live music and Sky TV. The L’Ecluse nightclub is recommended for its atmosphere. Other activities available are mountain walks, tobogganing and ice skating.
