Chalet Jardin d’Angele, Courchevel Le Praz 1300

If you’re looking for a beautiful traditional chalet in the most picturesque village of one of the world’s most sought after resorts you’re found it: Jardin D'Angele doesn’t just offer comfort, ambience and charm it even has a perfect location just minutes from the main lifts that access the whole of the Three Valleys, and yet it’s in a peaceful position too, with wonderful mountain views out. The chalet has a large open plan living room and is the perfect spot to relax around the roaring log fire. Its dining area with large table has picture windows letting the light flood in and all five bedrooms are en-suite. Please note that this chalet is now operated by its French owners as a catered chalet and Mountain Heaven Ltd are only acting as agents for this chalet.

Location

The Foret Chairlift and the Praz Gondola take you out of Le Praz and up the mountain. In normal snow conditions you can ski all the way back to Le Praz with a choice of tree lined pistes to get you home. From the Foret Chairlift you can take on the red, blue and green runs through the trees to La Tania or head on toward and over the top at Col de la Loze to Meribel and beyond. If you take the Praz Gondola out of Le Praz you can ski into the other Courchevel villages and further explore the Courchevel ski area and all it has to offer. There are pistes for all abilities and attractions like the Courchevel Toboggan Run, the Folie Douce and all those hundreds of kilometres of piste.

The ski back to our ski chalets in Le Praz is beautiful; enjoy tree lined pistes down into Le Praz, which are some of the prettiest runs in the Three Valleys ski area. It is generally snow secure with north facing slopes and an extensive network of snow cannons. You can ski back to within 100 metres of the chalets along a winding forest piste - or simply take the Telecabine down if you feel like a more leisurely way back to your chalet.

Meals

As skiers ourselves, we know how important breakfast is to set you up for a good day on the mountain so on the 5 days where a cooked breakfast is provided you can take your pick from porridge and eggs cooked to order, French bread, preserves, croissants, yoghurt, muesli, cereals and a differing cooked option which includes sausages and bacon, fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs with lardons, all served alongside fruit juice and freshly brewed coffee or our specially imported Yorkshire tea. On our self-service days there is a good selection to choose from including cereals, bread,ham and cheese etc.

It’s a favourite chalet tradition, coming back to your chalet at the end of a hard day on the piste to a freshly baked cake along with tea and coffee.

Our menu is freshly prepared to create delicious wholesome dishes that may range from local mountain favourites such as a traditional rich boeuf bourguignon to Loin of pork with caramelised apple and cider all served with delicious accompaniments and seasonal vegetables. We finish with scrumptious desserts such as a classic warming apple crumble or a melt in your mouth chocolate fondant. All of our food is complimented with a choice of handpicked wines supplied by our wine merchant Le Verre Gourmand and finally we round off the evening with freshly brewed coffee and tea. On your final evening we serve a fourth course of cheese.

Your host will serve our house wine throughout the meal which we have specially chosen to accompany the dishes on our menu. We have a house white, rose and red wines based on our pre-season wine tastings which we do every year plus feedback that we receive each year from our guests. All of our wine is supplied by our great wine merchant Le Verre Gourmand

Children aged between 2 and 12 will be served an earlier 2 course menu of simple home cooked favourites at around 6.30 pm.For children under 2 baby food is not provided.

A lovely chalet in what we regard as the best Courchevel, in a great position in the village and only a short walk to the lift in the morning. A very popular chalet, early booking is recommended.
