Chalet Vieille Forge, Courchevel 1850

Psst; your ideal Courchevel chalet might not actually be a traditional chalet. A skip down the road from the Croisette brings you to Vieille Forge on the first floor of a beautiful stone and wood clad building next to the old fire station. A swift lift whisks you up to the chalet apartment where the layout, design and feel of the place belongs in the mountains. Stylishly done from the striking stone fireplace roaring into the dining area to the snug lounge with a more than inviting little bar. The chalet is incredibly spacious with bedrooms far larger than necessary, not bad considering you're only 200m from the bustling town centre.

You will find our lovely staff in house to give you tips and ski advice plus rustle you up hot options at breakfast each morning as well as afternoon cakes and cuppas to come back for. Canapés come out with the fizz before dinner and the main event is a four-course affair including a cheeseboard and plenty of wine to wash it all down with.

The Vieille Forge (meaning old forge) backs onto the main street of Courchevel 1850. It's a great position just 350m to La Croisette and the main Courchevel 1850 ski lifts. You can take the stairs from La Croisette entrance to get to the lifts or walk a little further around if you don't fancy tackling them in your ski boots. There is a cut through next to the Hotel Olympic which will make getting the resort centre even easier. Alternatively, before you reach La Croisette you'll find the Plantrey piste which you can take down to the chairlift of the same name which will take you up to the right side of the valley (you can ski down to La Croisette from here if you want to).

Catering

You’ll enjoy a continental-style buffet breakfast with an optional hot dish, afternoon tea, pre-dinner drinks and canapés as well as a four-course evening meal with wine.

One night each week, there is a chalet staff night off where your evening meal is not included. On this day, breakfast and afternoon tea are served as normal and our flexiski hosts will be happy to make dinner reservations at a local restaurant for you.

Flexible durations

Vieille Forge is an ideal option for couples, families and groups looking to be in the centre of Courchevel 1850.  It can be booked for flexible durations throughout the season including New Year and half term, whether room by room or on a sole occupancy basis. It‘s a great chalet option for a short break or ski weekend to Courchevel.

There are four rooms in the Vieille Forge, three twins and one double. Each will have bathrobes and slippers as well as Molten Brown toiletries.

Double room

The double room has an en-suite bathroom featuring large standing shower and sink. The toilet is located separately, outside of the room.

Two of the twin rooms house en-suites with baths, sink and toilet. One has an en-suite with bath and sink but a separate toilet, inside of the room.
