La Folie Douce Hotel

One of the biggest names in après ski has decided to push the boundaries and open a hotel! Reinventing the Savoy Palace from the inside out, the Folie Douce Hotel will bring its eclectic mix of hospitality and entertainment to a permanent position in Chamonix. Hitting the slopes couldn't be easier, the Savoy lift is less than a minutes walk away (giving access to the Brévent and Flégère ski area) and the ski-in/ski-out access means reaching both slopes and resort centre are just moments away.

Bar Janssen offers a laid back vibe with an extensive cocktail menu, there's also a children's club (pay locally 4-12yrs) which includes everything from ski tuition, movie nights and mountain excursions. Primarily offered on a bed & breakfast basis, giving the opportunity to explore Chamonix by night and enjoy the fabulous range of restaurants on offer. Alternatively, half-board meals are available to pre-book and can be taken in La Petite Cuisine, offering traditional French food. There are three additional restaurants on site, La Fruitiere is a traditional french gourmet restaurant, Le Kiosque which offers quick and delicious street food or Le Mayen providing traditional Savoyard specialities (pay locally).

What about the world famous après we hear you say? No less than the best with après daily from 5-8pm at the After Mountain Party Bar. DJs, dancers, singers and musicians are all on the menu and we are sure this Folie flagship will not disappoint!

If you need a break from the party, take advantage of the large spa with sauna and steam room plus the outdoor pool with fabulous views across to Mont Blanc. Yoga classes are also available for the ultimate mind and body detox.

There are two grades of rooms available:

3* Access rooms (simple and compact dormitory style) and 4* Premium rooms (larger and have a higher standard of furnishings).

This hotel is on a bed & breakfast basis, with the option to upgrade to half board for your evening meals. The breakfast is a continental buffet with additional hot options.

Evening meals, when booking half board, are taken in La Petite Cuisine which offers a three course a la carte menu with choice of each course and waiter service. Open from 7 - 11pm. Guests may take the value of their meal as credit in the 'La Fruitiere' Restaurant, when they advise the hotel the day before. This applies for both 'Access' and 'Premium' room types and up to the value of €31 per person, per night. Children's meals and menus are available and can be requested.

The hotel have three restaurants to dine in, 'La Petite Cuisine', 'La Fruitiere' is a chic French bistro gourmet restaurant, 'Le Mayen' serving a la carte Savoyard specialities, as well as 'La Piazza' which is a takeaway pizza kiosk.

Rooms

Rooms in the Folie Douce Hotel are split between 3* ‘Access’ rooms and 4* ‘Premium’ rooms. All room types have mountain views and access to the spa facilities are included.

Access rooms are compact and simply furnished. All rooms have shower, WC, bed linen, hairdryer, Wi-Fi and cable / satellite TV with English speaking channels.

Twin rooms are 18m² and sleep up to two adults. Twin or double bed (please specify preference when booking)

Quad rooms are also 18m² and sleep three to four people. These rooms are in a ‘Dormitory’ style with three bunk beds and a pull out sofa bed. Suitable for a group of friends

Premium rooms have additional luxuries including a telephone, flat screen cable / satellite TV with English speaking channels, safe, tea & coffee making facilities, towels, bath robes, toiletries, mini bar and hairdryer. These rooms have a higher standard of furnishings and design.

Twin rooms are 20m² and sleep up to two adults in a twin or double bed (please specify preference when booking)

Superior twin rooms are a more spacious 26m² and sleep two to three people, with a twin or double bed and a convertible single sofa bed

Family rooms are 28-35m² and sleep three to four people. There is a twin or double bed (please specify when booking) and bunk beds (suitable for children up to 11 years). These rooms are available on request

Interconnecting rooms are available between A2 & B4 rooms (on request).

Beds are made on arrival (except sofa beds) and daily house keeping is included.
