Levi Ski Holiday Resort
Overview
The appeal of Levi, Lapland's most popular resort is clear to see - a true winter wonderland, with World Cup level skiing, a dazzling range of off snow activities, and the chance to see the northern lights.
Though Northern Lapland may seem like a remote getaway at 67.8 degrees north in the Arctic Circle, the resort is in fact perfect for families looking for a once in a lifetime winter getaway - Kittila airport is only 15 minutes away, perfect for those looking to avoid long transfers with little ones.
The slopes are right by the accommodation, with a great mix of beginner and intermediate terrain all served by modern infrastructure. In addition, 17 slopes are floodlit, meaning the short periods of daylight won't impact on your skiing time. The slopes themselves feel a world away from the crowded pistes of high profile Alpine resorts, with plenty of space to enjoy your skiing. All this is not to say the slopes are not of high quality - the resort has a regular slot on the World Cup circuit every year in November before most resorts even start to become white, a testament to the quality of the conditions.
The resort really comes into its own with its off snow activities however - with the options for reindeer, husky or snowmobile rides, alongside snowshoeing, ice fishing and skating on the frozen lake.
Offslope/apres ski
Lots of off the slope activities to enjoy including snowmobiling, reindeer and husky safaris, snowshoeing, ice fishing, skating on the frozen lake, and you can visit a reindeer park.
