St Johann Ski Holiday Resort
Overview
St Johann is a very pretty market town, ideally placed between several ski areas. The village itself has a pisted area of 66 kms with 170kms of pistes in the Schneewinkel ski area covered on a single lift pass. The resort has a good snow record and a better one than the neighbouring resorts of Soll and Kitzbuhel. Beginners will enjoy the nursery slopes that are close at hand and the excellent ski school will ensure fast progress to more difficult terrain. A superb choice for beginners and early intermediates but advanced skiers will need to travel to alternative destinations on the lift pass to get the most out of holidaying in St Johann.
Offslope/apres ski
Apres ski and nightlife are quite lively considering the size of the resort. Plenty of off slope diversions with sleigh rides, trips to Innsbruck and Salzburg and in February the Jump and Freeze nights are recommended.
