Serfaus and Fiss Ski Holiday Resort

Overview

Arguably Austria`s best kept secret, don't be put off because you haven't heard of it. This ski area is an excellent base for intermediate skiers but also offering great nursery slopes. Experts have some challenging runs to entertain. the resort is kept virtually traffic free courtesy of an underground tube that connects lifts and hotels etc. The three resorts in this area (including Ladis) tend to attract a more upmarket clientele and this is reflected in the lodging options. Serfaus is pretty with traditional chocolate box chalet styled accommodation but it does not attract a klarge number of Brits so be prepared to practice your German. For this reson families with children going into ski school may wish to look elsewhere.

The resort is at a very comfortable 1427m of altitude and the skiing extends up to 2828m. The area covers a whopping 200km of piste that is superb for beginners, intermediates, advanced, and experts alike. It truly is a wonderful ski area  with snow sure slopes. The package market here is restricted so it tends to be tailor-made trips - this can lead to more expensive prices, however, it affords flexibility.

Offslope/apres ski

Apres ski is varied and there are alot of off slope activities.

Overview

A much under-rated ski area seldom visited by British skiers but well worth a visit.
