Schladming Ski Holiday Resort

Overview

Four linked mountains provide the main ski area with 125km of mainly treelined sheltered pistes. The area offers some really diverse skiing from pretty tree lined runs to the Men's FIS night skiing slalom run. An intermediates paradise, it has less for the expert but again is superb for beginners. The lift system is fast and efficient as is the free bus service that operates between the villages and the lift stations. As the slopes virtually all face north Schaldming holds its snow very well.

Rustic Alpine charm exudes and mixed with the excellent apres ski makes this a most animated village throughout the day and night. Quality Austrian hotels sit side by side with less expension 2 star pensions so you won't have to break the bank to stay here.

Offslope/apres ski

Schladming is well known for its excellent and varied nightlife, a wide variety of bars and clubs. Also plenty of off slope diversions with a large swimming pool, indoor tennis, squash, and ice skating.

Overview

Great for those after the true Austrian alpine experience. Ideal for the intermediate skier, with a good sized area to explore.
