Hotel Mooshaus, Kuhtai

The Mooshaus is an Austrian 4 star superior hotel, perfectly located in the centre of Kühtai and owned and run by the friendly Gerber family who look forward to welcoming you. The hotel is beautifully decorated in a traditional Tyrolean style, and has been recently extended with additional leisure facilities to complement the existing pool and spa.

Fantastic Facilities

The hotel boasts an area of 1,000m2 of pool, sauna, spa and wellness area. Families will love the indoor adventure pool with slide, waterfall and massage jets, perfect for any children with energy to spare after a full ski day. There is also the ‘Berg Spa’ and the new outdoor infinity pool on the fifth floor for adults only. The proximity to the ski slopes makes this an ideal choice for families. There is also an excellent choice of family accommodation including rooms for 3 and suites with 2 separate sleeping areas.The resort centre is nearby and the conveniently located ski hire shop and ski school will ensure an easy going and relaxed stay.

Cuisine

Family evening meals are 6-courses with plenty of choice and buffet options including cheese and dessert. If children prefer a simpler menu, then there’s a special kids’ buffet with alternative choices for those not wanting the full adult meal. There is a scrumptious buffet breakfast, with eggs cooked to order, and an organic selection to set you up at the start of the day.

A PARADISE FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN

As of the upcoming winter season, our smallest guests can let off steam in our new and unique Ravensburger play area of Ravensburger Freizeit and Promotion GmbH. Well-designed, tried and tested, educational, suitable for children and drawn up by experts, the play area has everything children could want: a climbing wall, a shelf that is full to bursting with Ravensburger games and books, and children’s touchscreen computers featuring educational drawing programs and games.

Playtime with a view! The MOOSClub is flooded with daylight, with a view of the snowy mountain landscape, and designed so that children can also remain here on their own.

Club supervision for guests aged 4 and up is available every day except Saturdays from 12:00 to 21:00

We are also delighted to announce a brand new addition: Baby-Pool!!

The Teens Lounge is brand new and cutting edge, featuring a chillout corner with beanbags, Wi-Fi, multiple gaming stations, screens, smartphone docks with Bluetooth loudspeakers for guests to play their own music, a number of plug sockets for devices and much more besides.

Supervision for guests aged 12 and up is available every day except Saturdays from 14:00 to 22:00

Our new film room provides an authentic cinema experience, featuring a large screen, comfortable cinema seats and a Dolby Surround system.

The cinema shows films suitable for the whole family. A great way to end a day in the snow – and a brilliant activity for a rest day.

Meals

Taking time over breakfast is the first luxury of the day! The focus is on regional products, many of which are produced specifically for our buffet, and there is a show kitchen for any special requests. After all, breakfast has to provide the energy our guests need to enjoy a long day in the great outdoors!

In the evening, you can indulge in a varied and carefully composed 6-course menu of your choice that combines traditional Tyrolean meals with a range of international dishes. There are also regular themed evenings with a buffet.

Key to our cooking are the regional products that we use whenever possible. In our kitchen, we also make everything ourselves: this means genuine, good-quality eggs for our shredded pancakes, bacon from a farmer in St. Sigmund, baked goods from our own patisserie, and more besides.

Only a select handful of suppliers provide us with daily deliveries of fresh goods. This keeps the distances short, supports local agriculture and ensures that we can be confident in the level of quality that we will be serving up for our guests.

Our restaurant features a calm and pleasant atmosphere with secluded corners and a separate section that is reserved for parents with children. In this way, all our guests can enjoy the evening in the way that suits them best.
