You can ski back to the hotel at the end of the day and it's just 50m from the ski lifts. When it comes to heading to bed, the rooms continue the hotel's contemporary theme. The slopes above Ischgl are wide and high up, with lots of long descents that are great for intermediate cruising. Don’t miss the 8km Duty Free run down to the neighbouring resort of Samnaun in Switzerland – it’s one of the longest in the area. Add in chairlift’s galore and a great snow park, and it’s easy to see why boarders love it too.
Still a proper farming community, the town itself is filled with traditional, wooden buildings. But head to the resort centre and things are much glitzier, with boutiques and bars lining the streets. You’ll soon see why this place is famous for its party atmosphere – end the day dancing on tables at a piste-side bar before heading to one of the massive clubs for a taste of Ibiza in the Alps. And when it’s time to hit the hay, there are some great places to stay, whether you prefer that personal touch in a family-run guesthouse, or the 5-star treatment at a luxury hotel.
