Alpbach
Overview
Pretty and traditional Austrian village resort. Alpbach has a legion of British fans who return year after year. Alpbach is at the heart of the tenth largest skiing area in the Tyrol, with the grand name "Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau"! Alpbach should feature on the list of places-to-visit-in-one’s-life and is known as a ski resort embedded in the Kitzbüheler Alps with a good snow guarantee. Whilst in Alpbach why not take a trip to the nearby resort of Reith and try out the night skiing. Every Friday and Saturday from 6.30 to 9.15 p.m.at the 8 person gondola, the Reitherkogelbahn, takes you up to ski the 6kms of floodlt pistes. Alpbach is an excellent resort for beginners and early intermediates.
