Chamrousse

Overview

A relatively unknown resort to British skiers, Chamrousse has the bonus this season of offering a FREE lift pass which is a huge saving with lift pass prices currently coming in at over £200 per person. The resort is suitable for beginners and intermediates with a good variety of slopes. For experts there are some testing runs and for those wanting off piste this is a much under used area. Coupled with the short transfer Chamrousse is set to become very popular with British skiers this season.

Positive

  • Decent size ski area at 92kms of pisted runs
  • Excellent ski school
  • Short transfer
  • FREE lift pass

Negative

  • Not a huge choice for expert piste skiers
  • Limited accommodation availability
  • Resort split between three levels

Offslope/apres ski

Apres ski is quiet and family orientated. There are some attractive cafes with sunny terraces. Off slope activities include Ice skating Paragliding Snow shoe walks and there is a climbing wall.
