St Johann

Overview

St Johann is a pretty market town, ideally placed between several ski areas. The village itself has a pisted area of 66 kms with 170kms of pistes in the Schneewinkel ski area covered on a single lift pass. Beginners will enjoy the nursery slopes that are close at hand and the excellent ski school will ensure fast progress to more difficult terrain. A good beginner, early intermediate resort.

Positive

  • Pretty village
  • Good size ski area
  • Good beginners slopes

Negative

  • To take advantage of the ski area a bus trip is necessary
  • Small local ski area

Offslope/apres ski

Apres ski and nightlife are quite lively considering the size of the resort. Plenty of off slope diversions with sleigh rides, trips to Innsbruck and Salzburg and in February the Jump and Freeze nights are recommended.

Our View

Pretty village, good beginners/intermediate resort offering an ideal place to learn or improve skiing skills.
