Spotlight on après-ski bars
Are you looking for a great place for après-ski? Then look no further! We’ve got you covered here at Snowfinders:
Obergurgl
Après ski in Obergurgl is usually very lively immediately after the slopes close, and quieter towards late evening. Perfect for those who like a bit of a party, but not enough to affect their skiing the next day…
The Nederhutte
We had to mention the Nederhutte! It really is one of the best après-ski bars in the alps. A legendary venue that is full of action three times a week, there is often a party started by 4pm, with all ages dancing (on the tables!) to fantastic live music.
The music at the Nederhutte ranges from traditional Austrian hits, to ACDC, and the venue is so popular, you should ensure you get there early!
Because it is up on the mountain, the Nederhutte even runs a cat-track to take you back into town (for those incapable of skiing back down!).
What’s more, there are more great bars in Obergurgl town too, including: The C.U. bar, The Josl hotel's Kellar bar, Krumpn's Stadl Barn (with live music and fantastic hosts!) and the Austria-Keller nightclub.
Val d’Isere
There is a great selection of bars with happy hours and music in Val d’Isere.
At Snowfinders, we like to describe après-ski in Val d’Isere as passionate and energetic!  Perhaps you’ll begin by dancing on the tables at the Folie Douce, at the top of the La Daille gondola, and then ski down into town to hit the Moris pub with live music and toffee vodkas!
After that, if you still have the energy, the Petit Danois and Pacific bar offer fabulous places to relax and re-energise, getting you ready to take on the famous Dicks T-bar!
Cocorico
Val d’Isere’s Cocorico is renowned for its DJs and incredible outdoor atmosphere, and, at Snowfinders, we think it is definitely worth a visit for an après-ski party!
Ischgl
Ischgl is possibly the best après-ski resort in the world. From traditional Austrian dancing on tables (in ski boots!) to chilling out (oh, should we say, warming up!) in sophisticated cocktail lounges, Ischgl can be as crazy or as relaxing as you like.
Snowfinders recommends The Schatzi, Niki's Stadl, and The Trofana Arena for a raucous après ski experience.
The Trofana Arena
A state of the art nightclub, including a main stage with live bands playing, as well as guest DJs and caged dancers. There is even a very upmarket lap dancing club via a separate internal entrance (perhaps ideal for Russian business men?!).
Meribel
Après-ski is fantastic in Meribel and actually attracts many people to the resort.
Immediately after skiing the Rond Point, many skiers will hit The Meribar to reflect on the day’s events.
Later on, the nightlife spreads to Le Pub, Scottys, Evolution, Barometer, 50/50, Jack's, Bar Kiki, Le Taverne, La Poste, the new Den, Refuge and St Amour.
Let’s get the party started!
Doron
Doron Pub has been a firm favourite for years and is located right at the bottom of the pistes. With live music 7 days a week, the bar is lively from the end of ski-play, well into the night!
