Lakitira Beach Resort,

The sun soaked island of Kos, is the idyllic setting for our Lakitira Beach Resort. Located on the south of the island, looking out over the glittering Aegean, it combines the leisurely pace of Greek island life with every imaginable activity. Set in four acres of flower filled gardens and with two beach areas, this beach resort offers plenty of space for everyone and has first class facilities. There are 3 restaurants: The Trattoria di Mauro serving delicious pizza and pasta buffets at lunchtime and an la carte menu at dinner. The quaint courtyard Taverna Platia which is open for a continental breakfast every morning and traditional Greek menu in the evening brimming with regional specialities, Mezze and fresh fish. The main hotel restaurant “The Terrace” serves breakfast and dinner offering plentiful buffets and grills. Your holiday price includes dining on a half board basis (breakfast in Taverna Platia or the Main Restaurant and dinner taken in the Main restaurant).

If you wish to upgrade to the full board package, lunch can be taken from the buffet of hot dishes and pizzas and extenstive salad bar in the Trattoria di Mauro .

There are four bars at Lakitira; one each at the swimming pools, the family pool bar being popular in the evening, where you can sit on the terrace overlooking the beach and watch the sun go down. The Beach Bar with plenty of shade and the main hotel bar. There is a delightful Viva Health and Beauty Salon, waiting to tempt you with a vast menu of massage and beauty treatments, and a well stocked resort shop selling all holiday essentials. The accommodation at Lakitira is spread across the entire resort and offers whitewashed villa-style apartments (“the village”) or fabulous refurbished rooms in the hotel, both comprising suites, junior suites, interconnecting rooms and twins. We have designated parts of the hotel accommodation as child-free meaning those travelling without children enjoy plenty of quiet space. 

Lakitira Hotel

The hotel rooms are newly refurbished in a modern, contemporary design with spacious interior. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, flat screen t.v's, safes, fridges and tea & coffee making facilities.

Lakitira Village

All the rooms in the village have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, hairdyrers, safes, tea & coffee facilities, fridge and complimentary toiletries.

Sailing

A superb sailing resort which ticks all the boxes for sailors of every level. Light winds most mornings ideal for beginners, which build in the afternoon to force 3-5 for the more advanced sailors. Our free group sailing clinics are spread over 6 days of the week and are for beginners through to intermediate. Groups are a maximum of 6 people and split according to ability – so just come along on your first day of your holiday and find out which of our sailing clinics is for you. If you would prefer to gain a qualification in sailing then we have 10 RYA courses on offer, which are ideal for those interested in owning their own dinghy, joining a sailing club or racing crewed boats.

Windsurfing

A flagship resort for windsurfing and sailing, with light winds in the early morning picking up in the afternoon. It is a particularly good windsurfing location as the regular thermal winds that build in the afternoon are well suited for the more advanced windsurfer. Whereas beginners enjoy the lighter winds in the morning. We have the latest range of equipment, including small free ride and starboard carve boards and a range of sails. We have a large team of qualified instructors on hand to teach you on a one to one basis, as part of an RYA course or in a free group lesson. In addition to tuition, there is plenty of kit for your personal use if you prefer to go it alone. In order that you get the most from your time on the water, our watersports staff will rig and de-rig equipment for you.

Childcare

With five super kids clubs, staffed by our qualified British nannies waiting to welcome the children – you can rest assured you will be able to relax on your holiday knowing your children are being fully entertained in a happy and fun environment. Each club has a structured activity timetable, balancing indoor and outdoor play mindful of the hottest parts of the day. The older children learn to windsurf and sail a fun boat as part of their club in the company of our nannies and instructors, whilst babies are taking for a stroll in their buggy round the beautiful peaceful gardens. In addition to the super air-conditioned creches, there is a 24 hour kitchen for your use with microwave, sterilisers and fridge stocked with UHT milk. At Lakitira there is a separate kids beach with perfect shallow waters for paddling and splashing about, and from where all the children's watersports take place . There is a play area with swings and climbing frames and a astroturf football pitch for a spot of soccer for the aspiring player.

Baby Club, 4 – 11 months

The Baby Club provides a calm and comforting environment for the tiny ones and we provide one nanny for two babies. Where possible your child will have the same nanny throughout the week. Costs; 6 mornings, 9am to 12.30pm – £180 per week 6 afternoons, 2.30pm to 5.30pm – £180 per week 6 full days, 9am to 12.30pm & 2.30pm to 5.30pm – £360 per week

Toddler 1 Club, 1 year

The  toddler 1 club has lots of room for indoor and outdoor play and plenty of stimulating toys and games. We aim to maintain a ratio of one nanny to every three children. Costs; 6 mornings, 9am to 12.30pm – £180 per week 6 afternoons, 2.30pm to 5.30pm – £180 per week 6 full days, 9am to 12.30pm & 2.30pm to 5.30pm – £360 per week

Toddler 2 Club, 2 years

The toddler 2 club provides plenty of fun and stimulating play for the slightly older toddlers both inside and outside the creche. We aim to maintain a ratio of one nanny to every four children. Costs; 6 mornings, 9am to 12.30pm – Free 6 afternoons, 2.30pm to 5.30pm – Free 6 full days, 9am to 12.30pm & 2.30pm to 5.30pm – £180 per week.

Mini Club, 3 – 5 years

The mini club provides a fun-filled activity programme throughout the week and there is always a high ratio of nannies to children Costs; 6 mornings, 9am to 12.30pm – Free 6 afternoons, 2.30pm to 5.30pm – Free 6 full days, 9am to 12.30pm & 2.30pm to 5.30pm – £180 per week.

Junior Club, 6 – 9 years

The Junior Club offers a varied programme of activities throughout the day including an introduction to sailing and windsurfing using junior equipment. Costs; 6 full days, 9am to 12.30pm & 2.30pm to 5.30pm – Free

Kidz Club, 10 – 13 years

A lively programme of activities and watersports throughout the day with tuition in windsurfing and sailing. As the children are more independent at this age, supervision is provided when an activity is taking place. Costs; 6 full days, 9am to 12.30pm & 2.30pm to 5.30pm – Free

Indy Club, 14 – 17 years

Family holidays are great, but older kids somethimes want to enjoy some independence, so for guests between 14 and 17 year we have the indy club. It's a place where teenagers can meet up and make friends of their own age and enjoy a full programme of activities. Costs; 6 full days, 9am to 12.30pm & 2.30pm to 5.30pm – Free

Lakitira Hotel

The hotel rooms are newly refurbished in a modern, contemporary design with spacious interior. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, flat screen t.v's, safes, fridges and tea & coffee making facilities. Standard Twin: 2 single beds. Can take a cot and extra bed. Terrace or balcony Premium Twin: As per Twin room but superior location and view. Double: 1 double bed. Can take a cot and extra bed. Terrace or balcony Premium Double: As per Double room but a superior location and view. Premium Interconnecting Room: Either 2 twin rooms or a double & twin with connecting door. Both rooms can take an extra bed and cot, are en-suite with terrace or balcony. Junior Suite: 1 double room connecting to a small lounge area with 2 small sofa beds and terrace. Rooms can also take a cot. Premium Junior Suite: As per Junior Suite but have a superior location and view. Suite: A double room connecting to a lounge area with 2 sofa beds and a terrace, can take an extra bed or a cot. Bathroom, WC & dressing room.

Lakitira Village

All the rooms in the village have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, hairdyrers, safes, tea & coffee facilities, fridge and complimentary toiletries. Large Twin: 2 single beds and 1 extra bed as standard. En-suite bathroom. Can take 2 cots and 2 extra beds. Can be joined with mini apartments situated on the 1st floor. Premium Large Twin: As per Large Twin but a superior location and view. Mezzanine Suite: Entrance door to triple room (3 single beds). Up to main bedroom (2 single beds) at mezzanine level and overlooking the ground floor room. 1 x shower room and 1 bathroom. Terrace area at ground floor level. Suite: Entrance door to triple room (3 single beds). Staircase leading to main bedroom (2 single beds) with separate entrance door. Each room is en-suite. Premium Suite: As per suite, but a superior location and view. Premium Interconnecting Room: 2 Twin rooms both can take a cot or an extra bed, and both are en-suite. Situated on ground and first floors. Mini Apartment: 2 rooms, each with entrance door leading into bedroom. Situated on the 1st floor. Can be joined with a ground floor large twin room. The mini apartments are made up of either 3 twin rooms (includes a large twin) or 2 twin rooms (1st floor rooms only) Premium Mini Apartment: As per mini apartment but a superior location and view.
