Copper Mountain Ski Holiday Resort

Overview

Terrific terrain, with the convenience of a purpose built resort, this Intrawest (the name behind Whistler) resort has been built in a sympathetic mountain style and the quality of accommodation is very high. The terrain offers suitable runs for all levels. It's a shame but with teh global economic downturn the resort no longer attracts British guests bar a few exceptions. Like Breckenridge, the resort sits at a lofty elevation of 2955m, so again altitude sickness can be a problem.

Offslope/apres ski

For sports minded nonskiers there is quite a lot to do in Copper Mountain with a large swimming pool snow tubing, snowmobiling and ice skating. The après ski is quite lively with a large selection of bars and live music venues.
