Half Term Ski

The busiest and most expensive week of the season, especially for us Brits. Last year (2019) a Gatwick-Innsbruck return economy seat with EasyJet peaked at £1150.00 pp – yes, that is a return economy flight price for one person! Our advice to skiers is to choose your resort carefully. It isn’t just the UK that has a half term. Ours always coincides with the French half term, and then you gave the Dutch, Germans, Belgians, etc. Carnival week is massive in the Alps (Carnivale, Mardi Gras, Fasching) and it is the week that encompasses Shrove Tuesday. If that coincides with half term, then we have bedlam – so you may wish to look at the less expensive Easter weeks or think outside of the box. Choosing alternative resorts at half term may mean thinking about places such as Sierra Nevada, Norway, Sweden, and more obscure Italian and Austrian resorts, or even heading over the pond.
