Vail Ski Holiday Resort

Overview
The mock Tirolean centre of Vail Village is where a lot of the staggeringly expensive hotels are situated however if you elect to stay a little further out there are a number of slightly cheaper options, but be aware there is little to no “cheap”, close to the slopes accommodation in Vail. The skiing is ideally suited to intermediates with a huge number of suitable runs. The Back bowls and Blue sky basin are great with some pisted but mainly unpisted runs ideal for those wanting to dip in and out of some off piste terrain.
Positive
- Big ski area
- The back bowls
- Intermediates paradise
- Good nightlife
Negative
- Poor mountain restaurants
- Expensive
- Can be busy at peak times
Offslope/apres ski
If people watching is your thing the non skier will find plenty to do in Vail. Après ski is animated and variable.
Our view
Big ski area, intermediates delight, fairly lively après ski.
