Wengen Ski Holiday Resort

Overview
Part of the Jungfrau area, shared mountain with Murren and Grindelwald. If you are used to the Three Valleys lift system this resort is very different, however most people who give it a chance are pleasantly surprised and are won over by its tradition, charm and warm welcome from the locals. The skiing is predominately suitable for intermediates. There is also for experts the Lauberhorn world cup downhill
Positive
- Beautiful scenery
- Alpine skiing tradition
- Intermediate skiers haven
- Good family resort
Negative
- Quiet nightlife
- Little expert terrain
- Slow railway lifts up the mountain
Offslope/apres ski
Great resort for nonskiers with many off slope diversions with an ice rink where you can try curling. The nightlife /après ski is quiet with not a lot to do for the younger crowd.
Our view
Lovely village with a long skiing history popular with many British visitors who have been returning for years.
