Les Menuires Ski Holiday Resort

Overview
Les Menuires offers reasonably priced accommodation and great links into the three valleys. The original centre of the resort is unattractive but newer satellite villages are far nicer and there is a better selction of attractive looking chalets and apartments. The slopes immediately around the resort are fantastic for confident skiers and are relatively un-crowded. In addition to the slopes around the resort there is huge amount of off-piste to suit all experts. Intermediates have a good selection of slopes both locally and throughout the three valleys and although there are some good beginner slopes they are close to resort and often suffer from poor snow coverage.
Positive
- Lots of ski convenient accommodation
- Good links with the rest of the three valleys
- Good variety of local shops
Negative
- Unattractive accommodation
- Slopes can be too sunny and too exposed
- Can be crowded on the lower slopes
Offslope/apres ski
There is a reasonable selection of both mountain restaurants for lunch and evening meals. There are also bars and discos for the night owls.
Our view
A great cheaper alternative for those wishing to ski the three valleys.
