Les Deux Alpes Ski Holiday Resort

Overview
Les Deux Alpes is a busy lively town. The nursery slopes are spread along the village offering a fantastic place to learn. The main lifts rise up from the same area opening out onto a choice of blues for beginners to progress, along with these blues there is a good selection of red runs to enable Intermediates to keep busy. Up from here the lifts take you onto the glacier with some lovely wide, open runs. On the opposite side of the valley there is a smaller ski area, which will suit intermediates looking to escape the crowds. Experts looking for tough skiing don’t have the choice of intermediates and beginners but it is possible to find a few challenging runs and off piste and if the weather allows the opportunity then a skiing trip to La Grave is recommended. Les Deux Alpes is popular with boarders and provides great free riding. Cross Country skiers may find it better to head down to Venosc on the gondola to find the prettier trails.

Offslope/apres ski
Deux Alpes is a very lively resort with plenty going on. The town is spread along a road, lined with shops, bars & restaurants. There is a free shuttle bus that removes the inconvenience if you find yourself situated at the wrong end of resort. A trip down on the gondola to the old farming village of Venosc makes for a scenic interlude and there are helicopter rides over to Alpe d’Huez for an alternative diversion.
